What is Alpha?

Alpha stands for:

Anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith. Adults of all ages are welcome.

Learning and laughter. It is possible to learn abouth the Christian faith and have fun at the same time.

People meeting together. Eating a meal together gives people an opportunity to know each other and make new friends.

Helping each other. The small groups give you a chance to discuss issues raised during the talks.

Ask anything. Alpha is a place where no questions are too simple or too challenging.

Who is Alpha for?

  • Those hungry for spiritual renewal
  • Those wanting to investigate Christianity
  • New Christians
  • Newcomers to the church
  • Christians who want to brush up on the basics of their faith

What Happens at Alpha?

The Alpha course combines equal parts of fellowship, Biblical teaching and small group community. Each week participants meet at 6:30pm for supper followed by a talk on the Christian faith and small group discussion, ending promptly at 9:00pm.

What Does It Cost?

There is no charge for Alpha, although you are expected to pay for the meals each evening (after the first week which is on us). Free childcare is provided (please call to let us know if you need childcare).
