Responding to Jesus' commands, we offer caring ministries to reach out to those who need the love of Jesus in their lives. These ministries are available to everyone in our church family and in our community.

The ministry of Deacons is one of sympathy, witness and service after the example of Jesus Christ. Deacons respond to those in crisis or special situations, serving as a “point of contact” for caring response. For more information about deacon care go to our Deacon Ministry page.

Our pastors are Steve Oglesbee and Hmingi Browne. You may call the church office to set up an appointment with one of our pastors. You may also indicate your desire for a pastor to call on the care card enclosed in the worship bulletins.

Our Kingdom Kids clown ministry provides nurture and care for the sick and homebound by lifting their spirits. They are also involved in skits and events of celebration in the life of the congregation and the community.

Stephen Ministry is one-on-one ministry of listening, compassion, prayer and caring by trained church members who bring Christ's love to those suffering emotional, spiritual or physical pain, Stephen Ministers provide unconditional love, acceptance and confidentiality. Sermon tapes are available for loan or purchase in the church office. If you would like to hear a previous sermon or series or share one with a friend or neighbor, please contact the office. Sermons are also available on-line from February 2005.

The CLPC PrayerNET provides intercessory prayer in response to prayer requests for specific needs of CLPC members and our community. Prayer requests can be submitted by filling our the care card enclosed in the worship bulletin (those marked confidential are prayed for by staff only; otherwise they are shared with prayer chain members as well). You can also call or e-mail the church office with your prayer request.
