Global Missions Committee will host its annual dinner for visiting international college students. Dinner will be served in Fellowship Hall. Our speaker this year will be Clayton Anderson, a NASA astronaut and member of Webster PC. Clay was the back-up flight engineer for expeditions 12, 13 and 14. He also spent nearly 6 months aboard the international space station in 2007. Seating is limited, so please e-mail Jim Luther (Luther42@comcast.net).
Imagine that it's Christmas. You are a college student, attending school on another continent, and you can't afford to go home for the holidays. - but the dorms are closing and all of your new American friends are headed home. What will you do for the next two weeks?
Christmas International House seeks to solve these problems by offering students the opportunity to spend the holidays with an American family. The Presbytery of New Covenant, through it's Outreach Ministry, sponsors the two week program. Local host families share their homes, church and community activities. Group programs, tours and entertainment are planned to involve the students and host families. Each host family is invited to participate in as much of the program as they are able and their interest and time permits. Thanks for caring and sharing.
