Newcomers' Class (Living Room - L101)
On Sunday, September 13, Pastor Steve will begin a six week long "newcomers' class" for those wishing to explore membership at Clear Lake Presbyterian Church.
We will explore issues of personal faith, the distinctive beliefs of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), and the unique heartthrob of Clear Lake Presbyterian Church.
Of course the best part of the class may simply be the opportunity to establish friendships with others new to our community. This course will meet each week during
the Sunday School time beginning at 10:15 a.m. in The Living Room. If your schedule does not permit you to attend at least four (4) of the six (6) classes, Steve
encourages you to wait until the next newcomers' class. We plan to offer several during the year.
If you are interested, please contact Karen Montalvo (karen@clpc.org).
Family Foundations (Fellowship Hall)
This fall we will explore the concept of becoming Missional Families. How do we collectively and as individual families
extend God's love to others, share our faith with others, and serve less fortunate families in our area? We will study
the Bible as well as current authors and then will practice being missional with several community service activities.
Join us on Sunday Mornings in Fellowship Hall.
This is an open class. Please invite your friends and neighbors.

largest unreached group. Murrow explains the problems and offers hope and encouragement to women, the church, and men.
Dr. Vic Hirsh will be leading the group. Come join us as we pray, laugh, share ideas and helpful guidance. Periodic social events are planned.
Special Topics Class: "Contemporary Issues" (L106)
Join us in conversation about "hot topic" issues that affect our families, communities, nation, and the world.
We will discuss God's Word and what He calls us to believe, say, and do as the Spirit works in and through us to further
His Kingdom.
Each class will stand on its own so participate every Sunday or whenever you can.

Bible Study for All (L108)
This class will examine stories of biblical characters that exibit commitment. In various
ways they respond to God's claim on their lives. They join themselves to God's mission to bring salvation to the world.
By example they challange us to join God's mission, to nurture the new life God provides, to proclaim the wonder of
God's design, to step into the unknown trusting God's promise for a future filled with hope. As is also apparant in these
stories, commitment to God entails a certain amount of risk. Saying "yes" to God will necessitate our saying "no" to
something or someone else.
Our pledge to join God's mission in the world may take us across the street, around the world or anywhere in between.
Are you ready to join God's mission, God's adventure?

Singles for Christ (L109)
Come and join over 45+ singles in the study of God's covenant as made manifest in communities.
The lessons consider the persons God chose to be covenant leaders, the invitations God offered to enter into
community, the people's responses to the invitations and the nature of God's new covenant community.
Besides studying and learning together, we also have several fellowship opportunities including monthly lunches and
game nights together.

"Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World" by Joanna Weaver will be the topic of discussion for this newly formed
ladies' class. With a fresh approach to the Bible story of Mary and Martha, the author shows how all of us - Mary and Martha
