Question: I noticed that there was a lot of activity on the sanctuary and then in suddenly stopped before the roofing was completed. I've also noticed that the stucco is being removed again. What's going on?

Answer: Our general contractor's project manager found that the subcontractor had not properly installed a vapor barrier under the sheeting and stucco, as required to avoid future damage. As a result, the project manager required the subcontractor to remove all of the materials to repair it correctly. In addition, the city inspector has not approved the roof supports for the sanctuary bump out since they were not in accordance with the approved engineering drawings. The architect and general contractor are working with the city to agree on an acceptable design to join the old and new roof before work can continue.
