CLPC Global Outreach

Service opportunities in the global community

Matthew 28: 19-20 is referred to as The Great Commission. In this passage, Jesus tells his followers to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Jesus also makes a promise that we do not go alone. He will be with us all along the way.

Our Global Missions Committee oversees church participation in, and contributions to, individuals and organizations that are involved in diverse missionary activities.  We help organize a yearly Missions Weekend that highlights these activities and invite a guest speaker.  Individual missionaries receiving support are located in South Africa, Senegal, Thailand, Israel, Afghanistan, Germany, Nigeria, Mexico and several Asian countries.  The committee also directs church participation in a partnership dedicated to an unreached ethnic group in Ethiopia. This committee is open to all who have any interest in global outreach.  Meetings occur the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm, room L208.

CLPC has partnerships with brothers and sisters in Christ all over the world in an effort to be faithful to this commission. Here are some of the ways you can use your gifts to make a difference in global missions.
