Haiti Education Foundation

Mrs. Frances Landers of the First Presbyterian Church in El Dorado, Arkansas founded the Haiti Education Foundation in 1981. Together with Episcopal priest, Father Jean Wilfrid Albert, they began to construct schools in the mountains of the Grande Coulene region of Haiti. Today, there are nearly 36 schools with more than 11,000 students.

The project in Haiti is now an approved benevolence of the Presbyterian Church (USA) in partnership with the Episcopal Church of America.
